When I was involved in SVDP in California one of our volunteers was a tiny Filipino woman who went around bullying funeral homes on the behalf of low income families who needed burials. She was extremely intimidating and always got the job done.

Good political instincts would say don't troll any religions cuz you might need the voters later.
Trolling this religion (mine specifically) means I'll bring up how MAGA doesn't respect us every chance I get at every volunteer event, fish fry and SvDP collection.

TY for what you do. I was that woman a while ago. Post divorce, cut our income in half, 2 disabled kids. svdp at our parish was so good; "what's your most immediate need?" A car; no car in ATL is impossible. Van was in our drive next day. I could find a job, take girls to Drs. Agree w/all you said.

Musk spent $24 mil trying to buy the court. Tonight I worked the SVDP food locker and gave out some sandwiches, cut up veggies with hummus and cookies to a grateful woman living in her car the past month. Just think what that money could have bought!

Took a car full of donations to Habitat for Humanity, switched over my summer clothes to my winter clothes, did two loads of laundry, and heading to SVDP with more clothes donations next

I was forbidden from watching All Dogs Go to Heaven for awhile as a kid (as well as forbidden from reading Harry Potter) because it was sacrilegious! Shit was serious at SVDP

I am so sorry for how this is affecting you. Try the Saint Vincent De Paul Society at your local Catholic Church. SVDP has food pantries and the food is supplied by parishioners and their donations. Best wishes.
