*ahem* #SVTheBrokenMirror will be two things: A challenging new adventure in the misty valleys of Orgul, starting from scratch with your Paldea friends in tow; and, spiritually, a playable version of #HamsLeagueClub , with a similar heavy emphasis on character stories and day-to-day dialogue.

wild to say i have so much stuff planned for #SVTheBrokenMirror that it might not have enough plotless gameplay loop filler inbetween. that's good right

i cant get into detail but i will say #SVTheBrokenMirror is at times very much themed around what the scarlet/violet cast are going through psychologically no matter how much they personally try to play it off

i'm really enjoying making proper video game ass rpg dungeons and zelda puzzles for these kids to figure out in #SVTheBrokenMirror . that's something pokemon has kinda struggled to do and grown out of since it stopped using grid-based movement imo, especially with how open SV is

okay i guess i should tease something about #SVTheBrokenMirror that isn't plot related so uh
i've been planning for a while that once you're done with a gym battle you can also play it as the people with you as kind of a battle CD type deal (it happened canonically either way)

if you're curious what the writing in #SVTheBrokenMirror is going to be like and feel kinda like "Meet Potential Man!" whenever i say it'll be good and then don't post any of it, great news, the unfinished #HamsLeagueClub actually has been open to the public

Hey, you a fan of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? Wish you could keep exploring with the characters? Check out my in-progress fake DLC, #HamsLeagueClub , which so far includes dozens of new dialogues for Nemona and Penny and aims to extend all the main cast's stories.

![Nemona quotes, reading:
Battles are my favorite hobby and all, but I think what I was craving was connecting with people. People who're happy to see me, eager to hear what I've gotta say, wanna share their perspectives... People who'll take care of me when it's not their job to, and aren't bothered by my weirdness... Life's better with you, [bud]. Sinceramente.
Her dad used to be a Steel-type Gym Leader! He was even the Galar Champion for a little bit! I don't think his style's rubbed off on her much. She has picked up a few Steel-types ever since she started diversifying her team more, but they aren't really his ground-shakingly heavy kind. ... Is it weird to say that guy kinda seems more like he'd be MY dad than hers? Y'know, big jolly goofball Champion, doesn't want the rich life...
Arven thinks he's bad at stuff that he isn't. Like he's gotta be as smart as his [mom] was to not be dumb, or beat me to be a good battler. La Primera says not to be so focused on the peak of the mountain that you can't appreciate how far above most of the competition you already are. Man. So many kids just need to be told somebody's proud of us-- er, them, once in a while.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:r4q5cqnornytghle3laj6axg/bafkreifw37p7hvvq2qxxditnt676tayxzod3rc7v4anymfjalrxxyyjtlu)
![Carmine: Well, I was just talking to [Juliana], and we wanted to ask you something, Nemona. Right?
> Why's this room so undecorated?
> Where's all your stuff?
Carmine: Yeah! It's so empty in here, other than the badges and plaque you've got up on the shelf there...
> Carmine was being nosy about your room
Carmine: Wh-- Y-yep! We just thought we'd MOSEY on in here for another tour, didn't we? [Juliana]? But um, what we were wanting to say-- last time I checked-- was it's really empty in here! Other than the badges and plaque up there, I mean.
Carmine: This room looks like no one lives in it!
Penny: Yeah, I noticed that too...
Nemona: Thanks! I try to keep it super tidy!
Carmine: ... Yeah, you sure do. I'm all for tidiness, sure, but... there's no PERSONALITY in this room, girl! Nemona, everyone says you've got the biggest personality they know! Why don't I see it here?](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:r4q5cqnornytghle3laj6axg/bafkreicov4p2hkxf7wadox5666iio5zw5xtopa6qb3mwxklhrftaqbuj6i)
![Terastallizing
(Sylveon) With the power of the moon, our passion is unstoppable! Now... face our overwhelming might!
(Umbreon) With the power of the moon, our bonds are unbreakable! Now... face our overwhelming might!
(Any Eeveelution) Now... with this power, I'll be the Veevee victor! Shine like the stars for us, [Pokemon]!
(Any Eeveelution) Veevees may be very cute... but they can hide a dangerous side. Show us yours, [Pokemon]!
(Last Pokemon) This is our last stand... but we won't b-back down until it's over! T-time to Terastallize!
(Last Pokemon) Welp, better late than never... [Pokemon], let's, uh... make our last stand together!
We've all got stars in our hearts, [Juliana] -- And I can feel mine blazing right now!
Now, [Pokemon] -- Sparkle like the stars above and become who you really are!
Okay, [Pokemon] -- Shine like the starry sky and become what you really wanna be!
It's time for a paradigm shift, [Pokemon]! Let's Terastallize our way through this!
Um... time to Terastallize! We'll leave you, uh... seeing stars, [Juliana]! Yeah.
We're what you get when the stars collide! Time to power up together, [Pokemon]!
(Mon 1-5) With you guys' help, I've put a lot of thought into this team... time to upgrade this component!
(Mon 1-5) Okay, now seems like the right time, so... [Pokemon]! It's time for our hearts to shine!
(Mon 1-5) Um... O-okay! [Pokemon], I think we're powering up now! Uh, shine like the stars and stuff!
(Traded Mon) [Juliana]'s own Pokemon powering up against [her] -- These storylines tug at the heartstrings!
(Arven's Lighthouse) I don't normally say this, but most of this science should probably stay buried. There's notes here on how that scary Poke Ball lockout system worked... All these parts and diagrams... are these for making unauthorized Master Balls? Wouldn't mind a workstation like this after we graduate, heheh... *ahem*

would y'all (people who interact with my pokemon SV posts) be interested in being corralled into a discord server for #HamsLeagueClub / #SVTheBrokenMirror fans, it'd be both convenient and reassuring for me to have y'all there as a group chat

one more #SVTheBrokenMirror gameplay thought for today:
i think i might state outright in the manual that everything you can soft reset for (and maybe even eggs, if there are any) is shiny locked because i respect your time, and if you really really want one there's a way to earn a transformation

i rarely love ambitious projects enough to finish em, but i'm so excited to get to the huge final act of #SVTheBrokenMirror that i think it'll power me through the whole thing as my reward at the end
(so would being able to make the postgame of my dreams, but i might release that as an early demo)

realizing cosme the third protagonist design i added for #SVTheBrokenMirror would solve the manga not having one to pair with penny lol

no promises to follow it or pressure to answer, but i am curious how my followers would choose to concretely characterize the player character going into #SVTheBrokenMirror
they seem trusting and eager to help strangers to the point it weirds them out, and also to not have friends before moving

rereading #HamsLeagueClub before my like 4th attempt on writing an #SVTheBrokenMirror intro. i think maybe i liked my writing better when i wasn't being self conscious about how many text boxes it would take lol
gotta go back to my roots of this being a project for dialogue sickos not pokemon fans

peek behind the curtain because i haven't had much to say about #SVTheBrokenMirror lately; i'd like Orgul to be a very rural region uninterested in urbanizing and is struggling to remain that way, so you'll see unfinished roads, towns that think they're big cities but can't really support it, etc

probably doesn't matter since i don't have patreon backers i promised a demo, but i think i've accepted the current build of #SVTheBrokenMirror is just to make maps and test graphics, and making it more of a full featured game will wait until the new GSC essentials update is done
