It’s been two weeks of wet roads, news just said SWBNO knew about it for three months. Inexcusable

I've said a few times in my life "I'll try anything once" and while there are likely things I wouldn't and I'd have to ponder... one thing I'll never try once is putting SWBNO on autopay. NEVER. NOT ONCE.

Sometimes when I'm making water for the fish tanks I'll get a text from SWBNO telling me I probably have a leak.

I'd submit it to both 311 and SWBNO. I've actually had decent luck reporting water leaks/breaks to SWBNO before, including for a park near my house. Hopefully someone will go investigate.

I am profoundly grateful that the people I love most are safe, that the parts and labor were covered by a warranty, and that the SWBNO finally turned our water back on after hours of repairs.

Something major happened with the brand new SWBNO power system, knocking out drainage and water pumps for 30 minutes, according to a press release. No word yet on a boil water advisory.

getting a 403, and now a 404 error when i attempt to go to the SWBNO website to learn about the boil advisory isn’t giving me a lot of faith in city infrastructure

SWBNO says boil advisory is lifted for all but a few blocks of Uptown. Can they really fine-tune an advisory to this small of an area? @mcbride-matt.bsky.social

SWBNO update! B called again yesterday and would not accept a non-answer as to when they were coming to address the sewage backup. The office sent someone with the water jet truck who cleared 2 blockages in the line that was deemed "not a problem" by the other guy. 🙄

Apparently we get to spend all weekend with the SWBNO crew. They are replacing both the sewer line and the water line to our house now that they opened the street and saw it is lead. 😬

The only thing driving me back to twitter will be so I can yell at SWBNO and Nola ready. 🤬🤬🤬 we got zero alerts about flooding.
Got to remember how it was to wake up multiple times in the night and make sure the street wasn’t flooding.

Note that SWBNO entered this storm with very little reliable backup capacity for failure of the primary power system. Turbine 5 has been out of service, leaving T6, EMDs, and frequecy changers.
