The problem of too many cars isn’t just about the tailpipe. And altho EVs seemingly address that issue (or “move” it, depending on the electricity source), their increased weight, and the potential increase in size & distance driven (due to #JevonsParadox) make EVs “complicated.”

Given just how much work needs to be done on building back watershed health, this policy turn makes me nervous. Local, municipal control is important for protecting local environments. This policy change seems like another provincial plan to erode local government. #swont #onpoli #ldnont
