En un cacho de tierra junto al que espero al bus por las mañanas crecen un par de matas de salsifíes (Tragopogon porrifolius). Por desgracia siempre me las encuentro desnudas, pues sus flores se abren solo durante el/un día 😩 Para desquitarme subo esta de hace la tira de años...
Flor abierta de salsifí (Tragopogon porrifolius). Es una compuesta herbácea de flores de gran tamaño en comparación con el de la planta. Recordemos que las "flores" de las compuestas no son tales, sino inflorescencias: un conjunto de muchas pequeñas flores individuales (los flósculos) dispuestas sobre una superficie discoidal (el receptáculo) que, durante el desarrollo, protegen unas brácteas que hacen la función de sépalos. Cada una de las flores individuales puede o no tener un único pétalo, la lígula. En el salsifí las brácteas son mucho más largas que los pétalos más externos y se abren como una corona rodeando una inflorescencia morada, donde todas las flores son liguladas.

A yellow wildflower in a riparian area. From Wikipedia: Like most salsifies, Tragopogon dubius grows as an annual or occasionally biennial forb,[citation needed] reaching a height of 40–80 centimetres (15+1⁄2–31+1⁄2 in). The leaves are up to 25 cm (10 in) long. The buds are blue-green, tall, and tapered. On display from late spring to late summer, the yellow flower head is 4–5 cm (1+1⁄2–2 in) wide. The inflorescence opens early in the morning and often closes up by late afternoon. Later, the plant forms a seed head resembling that of dandelions, but distinctly larger. Last harvest of 2023... Even after a cold spell with up to -10°C, my little garden is still producing yummy veggies (1,000 slugs agree). Kale, savoy cabbage, Chinese cabbage, pak choi, Italian endives (radicchio, grumolo and catalogna), leeks, kohlrabi, red and yellow beets, parsnips, and salsifies.

Best guess would be Tragopogon sp., the salsifies, also known as goatsbeard! They have a neat polymorphism where seeds near the interior of the flowering head are smaller and better-suited for long-distance wind dispersal, while outer seeds and those that face downward are larger / less mobile
