I strongly recommend you read these 2 books in 2026. Both of them in tandem paint an irresistibly lush picture of West African history and mythology. #ZodiReads #BlackSky #BlackBookSky

Finished "Masquerade" by O.O Sangoyomi. Interesting historical standalone. I loved the court politics but admittedly I kept going back & forth if this book was suppose to be YA originally with the MC being TOO trusting at times. Maybe New Adult?? Still fun. 4 out of 5 ⭐️. 📚💙 #booksky #blackbooksky

Review of MASQUERADE by O. O. Sangoyomi, a standalone historical fiction novel with speculative elements. I enjoyed the story and loved the themes and ending, but found the protagonist's characterization frustrating.
