An embroidery hoop holds white Aida cloth with a colourful cross-stitch in progress. The design features a mostly completed orange curved shape with pink outlining, a section of light green and pink stitching layered on top, and small white stitches added at the top. Stitching into waxed handmade silk paper, hoping to give the impression of seaweed (to integrate into a larger piece).

Using vintage threads inherited from my mum, and great aunt Mabel.

On a wooden table there is a fan-shaped piece of blue and white silk paper, which is embellished with chain stitch embroidery in shades of green. There are 2 reels of green cotton, 2 bobbins with green embroidery floss, and a round plastic container of beeswax also visible.
