The Missouri senator accused former Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith of attending an Atlanta Hawks game in Georgia, and called him a "dirtbag." Except it turned out that Schmitt was wrong, and Smith was actually at an Iowa Hawkeyes game in Maryland. (@stlpublicradio.bsky.social)
