#SciPost
Where should I send this? Or just keep it on arXiv and call it a day?

Since it has no student/postdoc co-authors and no funding acknowledgement, I don't feel any need to submit to journals with APCs

There's no SciPost Optics yet.. (scipost.org?tab=journals)
1/ I have a single-author paper up on arxiv (my first one ever), heavily aided by LLM-based tools

The paper is "Lower bound on the thickness of broadband dielectric mirrors", which shows how thin a dielectric mirror can be, when designed for a given wavelength range and target reflectance 💡🧪
Lower bound on the thickness of broadband dielectric mirrors
We present a lower bound on the total physical thickness of a lossless, non-dispersive dielectric mirror for a given minimum reflectance across a wavelength band. The bound is based on a causality-bas...

Have a look at Scipost and Peer Community In. Also, maybe talk to Ryan Martin and Harry Crane who have reformed peer review in adjacent fields with Researchers.One.

The Netherlands also has funding for journal flipping to Diamond Open Access.

SciPost is a decade old! 🎉

Looking back, we feel immense gratitude for your engagement and support, without which none of this would have been possible.

You are our authors, Fellows, referees, readers, advisors, and sponsors: our everything.

We hope you're ready for more; we certainly are.

A reviewer raised this recently in regard to a short paper of ours showing that using t-tests on proportion data near the bounds may induce an interaction effect, where logistic regression does not. scipost.org/JRobustRep.1...

👉 buff.ly/ycxDYah

Paying for the Open Journal of Astrophysics
Everything is going well at OJAp, but it is not reasonable that the expense of running a journal that serves the global astrophysics community should fall entirely on one small University in Ireland. It won't be sustainable in the long run, either, if we continue to grow at the present rate. TCompare us with the Diamond Open Access publisher SCIPOST, which has a long list of sponsors covering its costs; we have none. I know that money is very tight in astrophysics these days but if you have access to any potential sources of funding - then please consider supporting OJAp!

One doesn't even need to imagine. My papers are on SciPost, so all reviews are public and licensed for reuse with CC-BY.

I'm actually so very tempted to take some of the more annoying ones.

Readers of this thread may be interested in the Journal of Robustness Reports (scipost.org/JRobustRep), "which is dedicated to publishing short reanalyses of empirical findings".
