Science takes time - a lot of time. Time that is more and more difficult to make available because of increased workloads. Time that exceeds the temporary contracts of postdocs and PhDs.

Ah, the slow burn of #impact! My most-cited #SpringerNature article in 2024 was actually published in 2018: 'A one-step procedure to probe the viscoelastic properties of cells by Atomic Force Microscopy.' Eventually, they’ll master it. No rush, academia. #ScienceTakesTime 😅
