Hot take; Alex Kurtzman was the best executive Star Trek ever had. While I have critiques of his writing, and like Roddenberry’s ethos more, he’s a better scriptwriter than Roddenberry or Berman. He also seemed like a genuinely good boss, compared to Berman & Roddenberry’s toxicity, esp to women.
