Love this tool to encourage reviewers to consider the four validities when assessing empirical research. Seaboat!

She's a fine seaboat. Weatherly, stiff, and fast.

Considering the amount of coal dust, coal ash, smoke from the stacks and soot, imagine the time it took to keep a British pre-dreadnought clean enough for late Victorian standards. This is HMS Magnificent of the Majestic class in 1899.

Received my copy of Away Seaboat by Captain Charles Wickham Malins, a #RoyalNavy officer who became the first captain of the minesweeper HMS #Bridlington.
For those who would like a copy Tim Lewin can be contacted at tim.lewin@btinternet.com and they are priced at £10 each. #book #ww2 #navalhistory

A seaboat tour in Seattle. Visits to medieval castles in England. Surf lessons in Hawaii. A meet-and-greet with a giant panda at the San Diego Zoo. Those are just a few of the things paid for with “Utah Fits All” voucher money.
Here’s how Utah parents are spending their kids’ school vouchers, The Tribune found
Over the course of the school voucher program’s first eight months, Utah families collectively used their $8,000 vouchers on more than 7,300 different vendors, including schools and businesses. The Tribune breaks down how each dollar was spent.

Seaboat is a great tool to support systematic consideration of validity issues.

Look after down port side. The narrow superstructure meant the seaboat had to use very long davits to clear ships side. Temporary warden / manager wooden caboose with sailor leaning in chatting. Some cordage hanging on davits in a most unseamanlike manner and another jacket /6

In 2002 i was in the navy. I was part of boats crew returning back to the ship in choppy seas. As we came alongside the ship i attached the bowline for recovery and the seaboat was swamped under a wave and all of us were tossed overboard. Mentally scarred me so much i branch changed to stoker lol

So I was in art fight this year, and I targeted one MockingMoth, go follow them/him when you get the chance! His character and mine being just big boiz at the seaside! A beanstalk kaiju and a seaboat kaiju just enjoying life... but the humans don't seem all too happy about it.

The Seaboat webapp helps users make sense of validities collectively.

It's a neat way to support peer review, learning, and thinking about how science should be done.

Am currently working on a similar project for scientific ontologies, theories, and empirical results.

My view is interesting as a capability show piece, but of little practical use. It takes a lot of energy to get a seaboat airborne. But then the aerodynamics are that of a boat. For it's size anything greater that a slight swell and it'll breakup on takeoff or landing.

funny how no one except Dayen's crew has even mention the 3rd person in the Maine senate race, Jordan Wood, former chief of staff for Katie Porter. Huh, looka there, no rape jokes or Blackwater xp on the resume, guess thats too boring for the 'progressives', they want the seaboat captain, toot toot

This article made the abstract tangible by humanizing the work; I can see my cousin in the quirks of Hirai, the seaboat engineer.

My favourite articles (your work included Liz) have always gotten me to imagine seeing the world through eyes not my own. This does just that.

A largeish seaboat powered by poar, sail or outboard. We used them a fair bit in Sea Cadets A Montague Whaler is close in size, rig and function, but ours were fiberglass over wood planking rather than clinker built.
