In my substack post from late September I mentioned Hezbollah as one of key destabilizators in current Syria. The Lebanese group has been working hard to disrupt security, conducted sectarian bombings and tried to attack Israel from Syria to make Tel-Aviv go to war with Damascus.

The anti-anti-Trump pro-life voter is one of the hardest demographics to reason with because they think they're doing Dorothy Day-type stuff by opting out of the discourse but are actually willing pawns of a Christian Nationalist project they acknowledge benefits their sectarian institutions.

We aren't changing out Vichycrats fast enough electorally. Imo, it's general strike to force politicians to act or sectarian violence and/or potential civil war is inevitable.

I want Talarico to win big. That said, I’m not a fan of the whole Jesus/Christian preachifying thrown into what in the US should be sectarian politics. But if the Jesus stuff gets Talarico elected in Texas, then whatever. I just don’t want that religiosity seeping into legislative actions.

I’m in the first generation of Irish Catholics here who never suffered sectarian discrimination; my parents made sure I knew that. What Haley is doing is offensive af, evil, has to be opposed at all costs, consigned to oblivion.
