spent my night signing my kernel for secureboot and EAC (i'm mostly interested in trying if it makes games work proper on linux) and its times like this i wish i had an amd gpu instead.

Running Asahi for a bit on my old M1 MacBook reminded me how much of a pain Linux on ARM is, and why I really dislike the Fedora ecosystem.
All that said I don't think there's a good Debian Derivative that is non-free driver complete, has KDE as default, and will automatically support SecureBoot

Honestly i’d rather run Arch on the Macbook. I liked running that before i needed Windows 11 on my desktop and SecureBoot issues are the only reason i stopped. I really wish my VRChat Unity Projects would work under Linux but they all throw different errors when i load them.

Okay, having read it now: sure, being able to intercept SecureBoot is not great, but this still only applies to when you’re PXE-booting on a network to which the attacker has enough access, and PXE necessarily needs to involve a well-sandboxed network, as you say

Basically, as soon as CPU 0, or even the CPU or Chipset uncore is functional, everything after that should be verified by secureboot until you hit the final bootstrap, at which point secureboot can be disabled at the user's choice.

Does SecureBoot break Linux/WIndows dualboot? It worked fine for me when I still had a working Windows installation.
The Linux NVIDIA drivers will not load with SecureBoot enabled though.

I didn't read the article, but if this is a buffer overflow in PXE module in DXE in UEFI, then SecureBoot works as intended: it verified DXE and CPU started executing it. Just it is a vulnerability in DXE.

I have an Nvidia card so even if my distro did work with dual boot and SecureBoot (i'm pretty sure it does not, it's CachyOS) it's still out of the question.

As a fellow nvidia use I get it. It would be very annoying to boot into the bios and turn secureboot on and off all the time. Signed nvidia drivers would be a god send.
Fortunately, all the games I play work just fine in Linux without secureboot enabled.
