I think it's interesting to contrast Mass Effect in this regard to that other Messy Bioware IP, Dragon Age. Dragon Age also has no real connecting thread (don't @ me with your seven thousand word threads about elven lore, it really doesn't) but it's /fine/ because every game is a selfcontained story
2 is straight up literally about how friendship is magic and 3 is "big war, heckles yeahzzles" so it's kind of unsurprising the whole thing has no resolution. it basically has no connecting thread!

TV shows with tight continuity and arc storytelling are good and all, but bring back shows with selfcontained episodic plots.

found this the other day. third-party aot compiler for modern c#, even supports bare metal. ms's handling of .net recently has kept me from writing more c# (it's the main reason i learned rust lol), but this may just be what brings me back into it flattened.net

As projects go, this one is quite simple! The E1002 is already a selfcontained, finished display. So you don’t need to modify anything physical to get up and running. The most DIY it gets is cutting some holes into the cardboard back of the IKEA frame so you can still reach the buttons 😂

Mask of Zeguy is a short OVA series CPM released on vhs and dvd. Stumbled across it in a discount bin and it was pretty solid. Selfcontained at 2 eps, mixing fantasy, historical and isekai elements, it's a decent time with some animation flair and an actual ending. The dub is good for a CPM release

I’ve witnessed a lot of interesting limitations in that world — like someone trying to build a JS widget that should only be ~5 lines of JS and some CSS on an existing code base, but their tool will only build entire selfcontained apps.

Depends on the app, but I know that on Ubuntu, if you have issues with a snap app, you should instead use app from your package manager instead. Appimage are selfcontained, it's ok if you don't need system integration/protocols...

at the end genshin does have all the high concept space stuff the honaki games have, is just that you barely see any of it till like Natlan, I guess is very fgo in that sense, the early stuff is too selfcontained.
