AI-Assisted Data Analysis: Modern Workflows - Livestream starting Oct 6, 2026 (UTC)
Want to make your data analysis more efficient without compromising research rigor? Join Dr Kimberly Fessel for a one-day, hands-on online seminar on using ChatGPT alongside Jupyter and Python in research workflows. Designed for PhD students, postdocs, faculty, and research professionals with basic familiarity with Python and statistics, the workshop covers data cleaning, exploratory analysis, coding and debugging, visualization, and synthetic data generation. You’ll also practice validating AI-generated outputs, keeping your work reproducible, and protecting sensitive data—using AI as an assistant, not a substitute for your expertise. Attend live via Zoom or revisit the recording and materials for 30 days afterward, with access to an expert-monitored Q&A forum. #ArtificialIntelligence #ComputationalSocialScience #DataAnalytics #DataScience #Statistics #ComputerScience #InformationScience #SoftwareEngineering #ChatGPT #Jupyter #Python #Research #ResearchTraining #Instats

Come to hear the latest from the lab (although we’re evolutionary biologists so sometimes things move slowly) 🫠

Working on a long post about how similar teaching is to standup comedy (at least the way I teach.) There's even some academic literature on this. And there are some standups who are excellent teachers. Imagine how great Julio Torres would be in a seminar. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OOI...

P came home from teaching her history MAT seminar last night and told me that one local teacher just discovered that his own child (6th grade), in his own district, had a new ambiguously named final period.

At curriculum night, he went to that class & was greeted w/ “Welcome to A. I. Lab” 🤮 (1/2)

Story time. My wife's post here reminds me of one of my favorite stories from my time on the Hill, of which there are many. I was in Comms for a Dem member, and the Caucus would put on a weekly talking points seminar for comms staffers. More often than not, these were run by Third Way.
Hey @politico.com can you explain why @thirdway.bsky.social is the source for what the Democrats' SCOTUS platform will be, when they don't even have the word "Democrat" in their name and routinely diss the party?

I'll wait.

This thing he's pausing reeks of multi-level marketing just from this article. I'd say it's more exploitative toward sports fans than christians. Still, I had to sit through a seminar on spotting human trafficking in hotels for the 9 to 5. It was largely forgettable and more of a "nice to know". 🤷
