Testicular Seminoma
Rare tubular patterned seminoma proven by OCT 4 with an unusual inter tubular pattern. On H&E, I thought a sex cord stromal tumour was a possibility. Never be ashamed of using IHC in the testis.

what they've figured is it's a rather advanced seminoma testicular cancer. thankfully i've already had ports installed at my hospital visit and hopefully by the start of next month i'll be on the fast track to chemo. this kind of cancer responds well to chemo so fingers crossed it'll help a lot.

Quick health update. Turns out I had a stage one seminoma. The offending body part has now been removed and replaced w/ a prosthetic. Surgical wound has more or less healed and I’m going to do a short course of chemo just to go scorched earth on it.

My cancer was very sudden and unexpected. My impacted testicle was noticeably large, but it didn't hurt or anything like that.

Back home after a weekend in Minne to celebrate the life of spouse’s nephew, who passed away just after Christmas from chemo-resistant seminoma. He was only 46. It was a real fukkin bummer. I appreciated the clergy at the service highlighting that fact instead of “gods plan” yargle blargle
