Semtech (SMTC) announced full-production availability and volume shipments of its mobile transport portfolio enabling 50G optical fronthaul for 5G-Advanced radio deployments.The portfolio supports 10 km duplex, 15 km bidirectional (BiDi), and Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) and longer-reach links, using GN2255, GN2255S, or GN2256 Clock and Data Recovery devices paired with the GN1700TI Transimpedance Amplifier. The solutions align with new 50G radio platforms from vendors such as Ericsson and Nokia that are designed for AI-era uplink traffic growth. Built on the ClearEdge®, Tri-Edge™ and FiberEdge® families, the products target 50G fronthaul today and are designed to scale toward 6G through 2030.

Semtech (SMTC) introduced the TDS2621LP, a new SurgeSwitch device designed to protect 24 V DC industrial robotics and collaborative robot (cobot) systems from surge and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) events.The device maintains a near-constant clamping voltage and complies with IEC 61000-4-5 surge standards while fitting into a compact 1.6 mm² DFN package, replacing larger conventional protection components. It provides a uniform clamping voltage of 35 V at 24 A (8/20 μs) with 32 mΩ dynamic resistance and a maximum working voltage of 26.4 V, aligned with the IEC upper tolerance band for 24 V systems.TDS2621LP targets cobot joint electronics, industrial robot input protection, AMR/AGV power buses, PLC I/O and fieldbus interfaces, 24 V actuator drivers, industrial sensors and IoT edge devices, and is available now in production quantities through authorized distributors and Semtech’s website.

Semtech (SMTC) has introduced the GN7153C OLT combo IC and GN28L46 burst-mode TIA chipset for 10G PON optical line terminal modules in SFP-DD form factors.The integrated solution supports GPON (2.5Gbps), XGS-PON (10Gbps) and 50G PON in a single module, targeting high‑density 50G OLT deployments. The GN7153C integrates a dual-rate burst-mode limiting amplifier, SOA driver, on-chip RSSI and dual TOSA bias driver outputs, while the GN28L46 provides high-sensitivity burst-mode amplification with an accurate RSSI mirror. The chipset can deliver up to 400mW power savings per port, or 6.5W across a fully populated 16-port OLT, and is compliant with ITU‑T G.9807.1 XGS‑PON standards. Sampling is available now, with volume production planned for September 2026.

Semtech (SMTC) introduced a 224G linear Transimpedance Amplifier (TIA) and driver portfolio aimed at Near-Packaged Optics (NPO) and Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) architectures for AI/ML clusters and hyperscale data centers.The new family includes the GN1838L and GN42T380 linear octal TIAs and the GN42M380 linear octal Mach-Zehnder Modulator driver, optimized for 1.6T, 3.2T, 6.4T and 12.8T optical engines. The devices are designed for CEI-224G-Linear and Open CPX interfaces, with tight space and power constraints, and provide features such as Automatic and Manual Gain Control, programmable Continuous Time Linear Equalization, low input-referred noise and low group delay. The portfolio targets flexible integration with various photonic IC and modulator technologies and offers diagnostics and tuning via pads and I²C.
