Seeed Studio has announced a treat for anyone using its SenseCAP T1000-E Card Tracker or SenseCAP M2 LoRaWAN Gateway devices for experimenting with long-range low-power radio: the firmware for both has been released under an open source license.

I'm so excited to start experimenting with meshtastic, I bought a pair of Seeed SenseCap T1000e's to use as portable nodes at Ubbi Dubbi. It should allow me to text with friends who also connect to them with meshtastic regardless of cell service.
A rectangular credit card sized device with a single button up top, an led indicator in the middle and a buzzer at the bottom. The text "SENSECAP" is below that.

Also found a neat little charging dock of sorts for my new SenseCap Meshtastic node, but the lip made it too hard to retrieve. Simply chopping off the lip actually makes it pretty perfect, it's even strong enough to suspend! #3dprinting
