As part of my glorious history of failing to go to hospital with serious issues (see also: going to see Stereolab with three broken ribs and a broken arm), I once kept putting off going to the doctor with what turned out to be sepsis because "it's just a stomach bug".

My wife - a provincial politician and cabinet minister - contracted sepsis and nearly died last year.

This year she hosted a sepsis awareness event at the Manitoba Legislature here in Winnipeg. The event promoted the use of TIME:

Temperature
Infection
Mental decline
Extremely ill

Her story:

The header implies this is a list of things to watch for when looking at someone else, so the I makes this very weird

"I think you've got sepsis"

"How can you tell?"

"I feel like I'm going to die"

Only adults get a mnemonic. Children have a different set of symptoms but no mnemonic of their own; fuck those guys I guess

I mean, what is the timeline? Does Sepsis cause existential dread about the finite nature of my existence?

My dentist has a poster that says "Could it be sepsis", which always has me singing Take That/Barry Manilow for the rest of the day.

Mahmoud is slowly dying to Sepsis while his daughters are sick and hungry...

Please help their mother and wife afford medicine and food.
🆘 Mahmoud is slowly dying. My daughters are sick. We have no food, no medicine, and no safe place to stay.

Every day, I tell my daughters that tomorrow might be better.

But I don’t know how many tomorrows we have left.

Please, donate and share. You are our last hope.💔😭

Honestly might remember it better for the daftness.

My auld lad had a bout of sepsis a while back (fine since, thankfully!), and I can confirm the shivering was extreme. We had no idea at the time it was an indicator.
