I just stumbled into this essay about Andrew J. Offutt and his life as a prolific prose pornographer. I primarily know him as the editor of the Swords Against Darkness anthologies from Appendix N and the creator (I think) of Shadowspawn from Thieves' World.

Yep, basically all this. By the time of the story all 3 Oaths had been in place for about 2500 years, so outside of the Borderlands where Shadowspawn were common (and Aes Sedai were generally respected and appreciated, for that reason) basically nobody had even seen an AS thrown down. 1/x🧵
