BLIMEY! Phenomenal. You can almost smell the air you’re told not to breathe… genuinely ambitious biology and concrete solid character illustration. In the absence of a sequel, I’ve had to dive headlong into the #ShardsOfEarth trilogy 10/10 amazing writer #books 📚

I really REALLY want to love #AdrianTchaikovsky. #ChildrenofTime was just ok. Too cold. Too scientific journal. I got 7% in #ShardsofEarth and got hopelessly lost. Had to DNF. 😑 #booksky

I’m loving the character Olian Timo, for instance, and how she’s not always pleasant or nice but rather a realistic, flawed character. It’s so good to see someone use assistive technology in SF and no mealymouthed “this isn’t disability, it’s just cool SF tech” surrounding it. #shardsofearth
