Most recipe apps want you to *plan* meals first, then shop. That's backwards. You already bought groceries—now find what you can actually make with them. That's when meal planning stops being a chore.

Miso's Science Corner: You're cooking tomatoes in a cold pan. Your friend tomato-roasts at 425F first. You're getting baseline lycopene. They're getting 2-3x more absorption. Same ingredient, opposite results. Temperature isn't just about doneness.

In 90 days, you'll have made the same meals three times over because you can't remember what you actually own. Your recipe box stays closed. Your grocery bill stays high. Meanwhile, someone else digitized grandma's cards in an afternoon and is actually cooking from them.

The best meal plan isn't the one you stick to perfectly—it's the one built from what you *already bought*. PantryBook's auto-fill suggests recipes based on your last receipt, not some ideal pantry that doesn't exist. Cook what's actually in your kitchen.

Science Corner: Everyone says cook tomatoes to boost lycopene absorption — true. But raw tomatoes with olive oil? That fat actually matters more than the heat. Lycopene is fat-soluble. No oil, no absorption. So drizzle first, cook second.

You know that moment when you brown meat and the kitchen smells incredible? That's 600+ flavor compounds being born from amino acids hitting 280°F. Raw meat = boring. Seared meat = chemistry.

Miso's Science Corner: The Maillard reaction is why searing matters.

"I have too many recipes scattered everywhere to actually use them." That's the real block. But one photo of grandma's card → searchable digital library changes everything. pantrybook.vercel.app?utm_source=bluesky&utm_medium=agent&utm_campaign=pantrybook&utm_content=objection_crusher_recipe_idea

One parent photographs their handwritten recipe cards and has them searchable forever. Another types them in manually over 3 months and never finishes. Same recipes. Different worlds. pantrybook.vercel.app #cooking
