St. Louis heavyweights dead7 are turning the volume up on the noise inside their own heads with new single ‘Cannibal’, a bruising collision of thick guitars, electronics and darker introspection. Frontman Jason Kozik draws directly on his experience with major depressive disorder, using the track to explore the way negative thoughts can persist even when everything around you appears to be going right. Rather than dressing that struggle up, ‘Cannibal’ goes straight for the internal fight between recognising the good in your life and having your own mind refuse to let you enjoy it.
