8 years ago I went to a lesbian bar where they passed out free oysters and when a girl leaned in to kiss me I was like "ooh no sorry I'd need an epipen for that" and I am still haunted by the possibility that I crushed this girl's self-esteem when I'm just allergic to shellfish

I learned today that my uncle is known as the “shellfish free guy” when he goes to pick up sushi 🤣
Whenever my family gets together my uncle brings sushi from Jewel. I’m allergic to shellfish hence him requesting shellfish free 🥺

BuzzFeed staff got free outside catered lunch once a week, something different every week. One week someone ordered in about 250 shucked oysters for lunch, which the millennial staff refused to eat. My hatred of food waste then led to an attempt to recreate a Morgan Spurlock film with shellfish.
