there are a few paths to get very difficult to kill on any frame. you can stack armor and health with adaptation (and arcane persistence, when you unlock descendia). you can shieldgate if you run a few orokin derlicts for catalyzing shields (+ vigilante vigor, fast deflection, augur mods)

Warframe Hot take: If you feel like you need to shield gate frames to survive, then you're limiting the frame's ultimate power and creating a playstyle that'll have consequences in the long run when you attempt to not shield gate in general.

yeah with healing the problem is always that the power fantasy kinda moves both ways...
if your frame has less than 1k health, regardless of any health or damage reduction you WILL meet an enemy that does 1k+ damage :')
so invisibility/shieldgate/invulnerability remains king

According to the Warframe wiki overshields affecting shield gate duration is a bug. So i guess if i wanted to futureproof my temple I could slap primed redirection on... Theoretically not needed since the default shieldgate is long enough for you to press 3 on the beat, but I am old and slow...

i have not ventured out of squid difficulty 7 yet but it seems right now the illuminate's weakness is actually not having much in the way of heavy armour - the harvester striders have bubbles that shieldgate, but after that, they appear to just be heavy armoured with a medium or even light weakpoint
