Today, we scooted over to Shimo-Kitazawa, a rather hip corner of Tokyo.
It has many record (& coffee) shops, but only one had a copy of Demon & Eleven Children by Blues Creation. It sounds as good as it looks.

And hats off to Masako for having such an awesome store sign.

Enjoy beers from West Coast Brewing, TDM 1874, Ushitora and 9 other breweries from around Japan this weekend (Saturday through Monday) at the Shimo-Kitazawa Craft Beer Fest. Food trucks will be dishing out burgers, fried chicken and chili dogs. Free admission, pay as you go.
The Shimo-Kitazawa Craft Beer Fest is happening this (three-day) weekend! The excellent West Coast Brewing (Shizuoka) will be pouring for the first time, along with 11 other breweries from around Japan. Free admission, and pay as you go.

Not merely a coffee shop, Ogawa Coffee Laboratory in Shimo-Kitazawa is an "Experience-based Bean Salon"! Despite the serious-looking setting, it's a comfortable spot to enjoy a leisurely coffee break, a bit removed from Shimo-Kitazawa's busy shopping zone.
