By the way, my grandfather's house used to be under that Shinkansen elevated track in the lower left of this image, but they had to move out in 1975 because of construction. It's a geographically important location where the Kitakami and Shizukuishi Rivers meet.

"小岩井農場" Koiwai Farm, Shizukuishi, Iwate Prefecture.
Koiwai Farm is a historic farm that opened in 1891.
It is now a popular tourist destination along with livestock farming.
Length 67cm (26.3in). This pennant was produced around 1960s or 1970s. #vintage
1, Koiwai Farm pennant. It is a cream-colored cloth with an illustration printed on it and two light blue ribbons. This pennant depicts a horse-drawn railroad going through a farm and Mt. Iwate. 2, A pennant of Koiwai Farm. The illustration shows a horse-drawn railroad, vast farmland, and Mt. Iwate. 3, Enlarged image of the illustration. The horse-drawn railroad with a red top. Koiwai Farm's toro-basha is a horse-drawn carriage railroad that was actually used for transportation within the farm from 1904 to 1958. Today, it remains as a tourist attraction. The background depicts the majestic Mt. Iwate and the vast pastureland. 4, The title is in Japanese. "Koiwai Farm" in brush-style kanji.
