There are two USB-C docks, one is $30 and it's bad. The other is $120 and is also bad, but doesn't have the annoyingly short captive cable going to the computer.

I have only tried the CrasyTrios. In UK at least they are a lot cheaper than the Flexiflips, but when I look at the descriptions side by side I cannot see a difference, other than the colour of the flexible short cable!

Even in the 1950s (and perhaps before) interference with communication cables could be detected remotely and the cable not used for classified traffic until repaired.
For short lengths, say within cities, co-axial cables were used, so no external electronic signals.
