#SickNotes
Our whole back 4 are sicknotes
Calmac has just lost the plot about how to play

It's a good question. All teams have injury crises, and because of budget we probably sign more sicknotes than most sides - but even so...

Good morning sicknotes! I'm off to get a little sunshine this weekend, what about you?

Tuchel has picked 2 sicknotes in Branthwate & Livramento and average player Chalobah. Bogle & Justin better than all three. Selfishly though I don’t want them getting injured playing for England.

Difficult to comprehend the absurdity of experiencing such a world changing moment at a Wetherspoons, followed by a couple of years of trying to dodge anthrax inbetween filing employee sicknotes for the UK’s largest family owned bakery.

Spurs arent that bad . You just copped for hopeless managers out of there depth and players that became perennial sicknotes.

Nah, we always had some long term sicknotes, from Oxlade-Chamberlain to Rosicksy and Carzola, we were always missing important players in the later years.

Is this new? It was reported last summer.

"...to reduce the no. of people signed off as 'not fit for work' doctors in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 will be urged to refer patients to gyms or job coaches under a new govt pilot scheme...Streeting told The Times the nation's economy can't afford to 'keep writing people off'."
GP sicknotes scrapped for millions of patients
Under the new pilot scheme GPs will send you to therapy or the gym instead - and be given money to employ dedicated teams to help people find a job

Really like Estevao. Shame for him.

Would have been on my very short list of Chelsea players Arsenal could rescue.

But not now we've seen the effect hammer injuries can have long term. No more sicknotes. Its why we aren't already champions.

Well if you believe certain sections of the press the Army is now WOKE and full of sicknotes etc. Personally, rather him than me
February 12, 2025 at 6:52 PM
Yes but they had Pino and didn’t play him. They have to adapt as they are both sicknotes
June 16, 2026 at 9:16 PM
We're well covered with that, what with having Dike spend 90% of the last 3 years in there, along with a number of other sicknotes

Be very difficult to win the league now. We need a striker, or two. Proper strikers, not bits and pieces players who can fill in there. Credit to Everton, they came for a point and got it. Also need to get rid of the sicknotes taking massive wages out of the club and contributing very little.

Great pod this was to listen to.
Q - given our injury record (hopefully it shld reduce this yr) what is the suggested squad size (incl U21’s) to be relied upon?
Factor in League + Cups.
A. Ave available say 20
B. Ave sicknotes say 6 or 7
Carry registered 25 first half providing +2,3 from Jan?

The UK is finding this out now as our NHS has been smashed to pieces and we are a nation of sicknotes. Now the Government think they can magic us all well again.

Or, as is more likely, push people into jobs they are not suited for and that make them poorer.

With you sicknotes? I’m a mere neophyte.

GPs won't write sicknotes to sign you off work under new rules: People who ask their GP for time off work for illness will instead be sent to therapy, coaching or the gym
