Just seen someone confidently asserting that Siddartha Gautama/ the Buddha is historically better attested that Jesus, and… no, he really isn’t! I see no reason to question that Siddartha is a real person, but we don’t even know which century he lived in.

Out today! Ultimate Shang Chi/Shen Qi. Had a great time researching this one, from buddhist texts and history, Hesse's Siddartha, and the @mattfraction.bsky.social @davidaja.com Iron Fist run! One of our more brutal issues, I think.

I used to think so. but barracuda only grow to be five or six feet, tops. and Siddartha Gautama was over six feet tall.

so, if anything, Buddha's *long* for barracuda.
Eh, depends on the topic. For instance; do you think Buddha is short for barracuda?

Today it’s Hesse’s SIDDARTHA and Awad’s ALL’S WELL (library binding). Recent high water mark for high lit imo. brb reading.
Actively humiliating how goddamn literary the NYC subway is. My siblings in transit are reading Calvino and Adichie while I’m simply poasting.

Recently completed social housing in Mallorca, Spain.

Garages and workshops at ground with homes above. Materials are super simple - concrete frame and walls, with timber floors (I’ll post plans in first reply)
