📢 Post 1: Since 2016, I’ve lived with treatment-resistant trigeminal neuralgia Hey everyone, Since 2016, I’ve been living with one of the most painful conditions in the world: treatment-resistant trigeminal neuralgia. What does that mean? Imagine the most important nerve in your face—the trigeminal nerve—as an exposed, high-voltage power line: Trigeminal neuralgia causes sudden, electric shocks of pain, as if lightning were striking through your face. These attacks often come without warning and can last for seconds, minutes, or even hours—especially when the condition is treatment-resistant. “Treatment-resistant” means: No standard treatment—no medication, surgery, or therapy—can stop the pain long-term. There is no pill, no injection, no therapy that can simply “turn off” the pain. Since 2016, I’ve been searching for a solution—and in the meantime, I live with constant, unpredictable pain attacks that severely limit my life.
