Just wrapped up a week of SlicerMorph/MorphoDepot/MorphoCloud work with @jaimiagray.bsky.social, @cmdonatelli.bsky.social and a great team of folks.

This is Enophrys taurina with a damaged preopercular spine. Fighting or defense?

Hi Doug! Have to restrict ourselves to neurocrania for this so wee bones don't move relative to one another!

Thanks, I made four tables to hold skulls and critter bits. Spousal harmony.

Slicer, with the SlicerMorph module is AMAZING. I swapped out from Amira 5 years ago and am so happy.

I will be showing people how to use free, open source software to reconstruct 3D anatomy.

SlicerMorph and 3D Slicer!

Oh, didn't know SlicerMorph helped with that. Is that simple Downsampling at the point of loading data?

I don't mind a program being RAM hungry, but I would like some fail safes/checks so it doesn't crash the whole computer when it overflows.

It's a nightmare without the SlicerMorph extension, at least then you can neatly rescale as you go! It is still hilariously RAM hungry...

Oooh nerdy science skeets. I taught myself with Slicermorph which is a PITA, but the entire pipeline is free and works on both windows and ubuntu, so 🙃

6 days of 3DSlicerApp & SlicerMorph done and dusted and oh boy have I learned some neat new Slicer tricks to unleash upon Florida when I get back 😎 Thanks to Adam and Murat for hosting! Before I return, I'm hanging around Friday Harbor Labs a while longer....

That’s a wrap on a great week learning more of the ins and out of 3D Slicer. Thank you to the SlicerMorph team for teaching and Andras Lasso for sharing his expertise.

Made great progress on my extensions and can’t wait to bring home what I’ve learned.

After an excellent SlicerMorph workshop I flew Andras Lasso to Point Roberts for his flight home from Vancouver.

The SlicerMorph workshop continues. Steve Pieper has added color by segment to the volume renderer. @karlycohen.bsky.social is checking the quality on the deepest fish ever CT scanned.

Day 3 of training us trainers and we are eyeballs deep in 3DSlicerApp and SlicerMorph and learning so much from Murat and Sara! AND still time to enjoy the Friday Harbor scenery and some fun critters ⛵🌞

The final NSF sponsored Slicer and SlicerMorph workshop getting started at Friday Harbor Labs.

Awesome to have both Slicer developers and power users of other visualization software in the same room.

Well hello Friday Harbor! So excited to be here at the stunning Friday Harbor Laboratories. Ready to go for the 3DSlicerApp SlicerMorph "train the trainers" week. Couldn't ask for a better location 🤩
