Kingfisher are just so photogenic! I watched this one at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre, Gloucestershire (UK). It caught three small fish and returned to the same perch each time, before deciding that it had had its fill for a while. (24.09.26) #glosbirds #ukwildlife #birds @wwtsightings.bsky.social

Slimbridge trips have to be planned so carefully because of my health and I have to set alarms for food breaks or I get dizzy. I can manage about 2 hours so we can’t go to all the hides. I’ll probably end up spending my actual birthday feeling awful and exhausted.

Exited for my birthday trip to Slimbridge tomorrow (my birthday is Saturday but we do not go to busy places at the weekend!)
The sightings this week have been good so I hope they’re all there tomorrow *fingers crossed*
