I finished the sample yesterday evening and decided not to carry it on, so this morning, I've been happily spinning this sparkly batt. I'm enjoying the colours and not having to worry too much about consistency.

Day 3 on my DIY Creative Retreat included hand sewing the other felted cashmere slipper sock, finally lacing up this mushroom/star bunting I started in December, and warping my experimental heedle for #weaving. I'm always surprised how long my projects take 😅 #slowcrafting
Hand-sewn slipper socks made from an accidentally felted cashmere sweater. My toes are getting the luxury treatment now! Estimated time spent, 3hrs per sock? Recycled Christmas decoration creating a bunting of orange amanita mushrooms (made from painted clementine peels), and cardboard stars with white decorative marks (made from toilet paper tubes). Took about an hour to add the string Experimental heedle warping. The top of the heedle is removable, with slots for the yarn to pinch through. No threading with a hook needed! Went pretty quick, maybe 20-30 minutes? Experimental heedle with top bar on heedle snapped on to secure yarn in the holes of the heedle. It was warped rotated 90° so I could also transfer the peg sides to removable apron rods.
