Man, you ever buy "the real thing" after years of buying the low budget clones and immediately go "oh, wait, no, these are totally worth it"?
I replaced my worn-out SmallRig magic arm ($22) with a Noga ($140), and the difference is so stark it isn't even funny.

I lost my smallrig cage handle thus it's becoming increasingly difficult and dangerous (plop!) to take at water levels shots when I'm not directly at the lake level, but I had to risk it when this ring necked duck was hovering 25 feet off shore. You win, duck. You win. 🪶

upgrading my camera setup for some upcoming music videos and i had to buy what is apparently called a "cheese plate". can u imagine.......... a mouse girl walking into a camera store and asking if they carry a "SmallRig cheese plate". ceaseless humiliation. we live in hell

My SmallRig arm failed because I had to keep cranking the locking bolt tighter just to keep it in place it eventually seized up, and even before that the collars were this overly-smooth plastic that wouldn't grip anything so I had to add stick-on cork. It *worked* but I was always fighting it.

I’m too tight to buy a copy stand part 3. Once I get a one inch ply baseboard sorted out for this I am done. 1 1/4 inch bsp pipe, floor flange and cap, Smallrig clamp and Smallrig Cheeseplate. Total cost so far £45. Any tripod head can be attached. This is very sturdy !. #photography #believinfilm.
