Yesterday, I gave a fifteen minutes talk, which I had assumed was a 20-minute talk until the host informed me a day before. Pure agony.
Ended up coming in at 14 minutes and 36 seconds, and the first question I got allowed me to skip to one of the slides I had actually cut out. #smallvictory

3 things:
1. it’s a backstory to Ace Egos, and it’s all written by me, no AI.
2. It’s an allegory ‘tale-telling’ style, and is best to be read that way.

(This was while they were playing hide & go seek, then playing w/ slime, & then eating, all in this room on a moderately hot day. So they saw a good amount of film. If another kid not present wife would have turned it off—or more likely removed kid—almost immediately. Soon they swim. #SmallVictory)

They arrived in the mail today.
Two books with my name on the cover. Not books I ordered.
Books I wrote.
I almost told the delivery guy.
Almost said, “These came from my head. My hands. My sleepless nights.”
But I just smiled and signed.

I asked my Uber driver to turn off the pro-MAGA podcast off. He gave me stink eye and lowered it only slightly. I gave him a piece of my mind before I got out of the car. #smallvictory

They say that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. But those people have never done GIS. Turns out the 14th time you do exact same thing, it works. Hallelujah! I'm taking a walk to celebrate this #smallvictory
