#SmokeFire
At a workshop the past summer, I got to experiment with using copper oxide in a smoke fire. I love the unpredictability of the colours that are going to appear depending on the amount of flame before snuffing it out.

The pellet grill was still out from my chicken the other night, so I decided to reverse sear a couple steaks. 225 until they hit 120, pulled & let the smokefire heat up to 600, then grilled 2 min a side. Nailed temp but not the sear. Steaks were delicious. Served with cauliflower rice. #bbqmunity 🍽️

Made beef jerky tonight on the Smokefire. Sliced eye of round and marinated overnight. Then 3 hours on smokeboost today. Really good, but not yet if I like the crispy ones or the more meaty ones yet. #bbqmunity

For #webcomicwednesday you should check out @philcomics.bsky.social, the only webcomic brave enough to have long, dry storylines about the benefits of grilling on a Weber Smokefire EPX6 grill

Final day of the pit fire course. There was a moment of doubt with the torrential downpour—but it worked out just fine in the end!

It’s like seeing a destroyed birthday cake and a seven year old covered in frosting.
“Man how will we ever figure out what happened here???”

Weber SmokeFire, which is kinda like to replace but can’t really justify replacing haha

It’s a Weber Smokefire EX4. It’s serving us very well, so I’d have no problem recommending it.

We're starting a new story that's about the most important things in life: family, and the Weber Smokefire EPX6 Wood Fired Pellet Grill
do you think schaumburg could use more Speed?

I'm absolutely in love with my Weber SmokeFire grill. They don't make that particular model anymore, but electric pellet grills are absolutely ez mode for grilling, allows me to grill several times a week in þͤ summer without excuses.

Dude, the brining is just messy unless u have a HUGE and DEEP sink. Gotta wipe everything down twice. I almost went with a Traeger but the one I wanted had prop 65 cus the finishing I think… so I went Weber Smokefire and love it!

I liked the post, but may I suggest a small correction?
The term "pathogen" is normally used for illness causing agents, not for environmental conditions like smokefire.

I'm not a terminologist though, so I'm tagging @terminologia.bsky.social

Treegerit on kyl hienoja.

Super easy. Put beef in the freezer a couple hours to make slicing easier. Then slice in 1/4 inch strips against the grain. Marinade overnight. Cook on racks at about 180 (used Smokeboost setting - that’s the lowest my Weber Smokefire will go). Cooked for three hours, moving the racks each hour.

I have the Smokefire which was their first attempt at a pellet grill and it's not so shitty that I can justify a new one but just shitty enough that I want a new one very badly. so I'm hoping it catches on fire in a way that damages it but nothing else.

I've narrowed down to these two options (also based on what we have locally here in IL):
Weber Smokefire EX4
Pit Boss Navigator 1150

(I've decided to not take the Traeger).

Would love your opinions on which would be the better choice - if you had to choose. 💜🙏🏽

One hobby is homebrewing beer (my blog is at www.andybrews.com); I use an Anvil Foundry 10.5 for all-grain batches. I also love grilling and smoking food, and recently switched from propane to a pellet grill (Weber SmokeFire). I am a very casual astronomy fan (Orion SkyScanner 100mm FTW), too!
