I’ve got special project underway for the Snorrastofa museum in Reykholt, Iceland.

8x4 model of a fortified viking compound in the 12th-13th century and, like the Gradara project, there's a dedicated page on the website.

Plenty going on in the background, mainly the Snorrastofa project; update on the website but also the Japanese 28mm religious KS (more on that next week).

It’s at Partizan on Sunday but is still a work in progress. Table PG25.

I've added a couple more updates to the Snorrastofa project page (5 & 6). You'll need to scroll down on the page as I haven't got an index sorted yet.

Playing some Viking Blood Feud on @oshiromodels.bsky.social WIP Snorrastofa board at Partizan this past weekend. Additional hobbyist level terrain by me; won't be on the finished version.

We traveled to Reykholt to sit down with Sigrún Guttormsdóttir Þormar, department manager at Snorrastofa, for a deep dive into the life and legacy of Snorri Sturluson—the maybe not so "infamous" 13th century Icelandic chieftain, writer, lawspeaker.

Episode 27b – Icelandic Impressions of the Sagas (Interview with Sigrún Guttormsdóttir Þormar of Snorrastofa)
In this special Saga Brief, we visit historic Reykholt, once home to Snorri Sturluson, for a fascinating conversation with Sigrún Guttormsdóttir Þormar, department manager at Snorrastofa. This interview is the second installment in our four-part series recorded on-site during our recent trip to Iceland. Sigrún generously met with us on a Saturday to talk about Snorri’s life, legacy, and the important work being done at Snorrastofa to continue the long tradition of learning at Reykholt on the site.

It's been a while for official posts so let’s have a release for the Arabic buildings range.

The colours looked right when I took the photos 😂

There will be a overdue Snorrastofa update at the end of the week 👍

While at Reykholt we had a wonderful conversation with Sigrún Guðmundsdóttir Þormar, Department Manager at Snorrastofa, about Snorri Sturluson, saga writing, and the work of the center.

You'll get to hear it soon.

If you're going to Salute this Saturday, swing by table GM12 and say hi! I'll be there with friends from the History & Games Lab, playing Viking Blood Feud and showing off part of the new Snorrastofa project from @oshiromodels.bsky.social!

(I know it says something else for GM12 in the programme.)
