“The New Guy”
One WTC, NYC.
Born and raised in NYC, and being a skateboarder for most of those years, the Twin Towers were always a kind of navigational landmark. I appreciate the new guy, but miss my old friends.
#photography #nyc #wtc #landscapephotography #blackandwhitephotography #sonya7r4

A black and white photograph of a part of the NYC skyline. Taken from a very low angle, so the World Trade Center is peaking above the buildings below, all following a converging perspective. Even though it’s only a third of each building, it feels like a billion windows are visible. And in each window, I wonder how many of the people in there actually miss the original twin towers. Not how they feel about 9/11, just actually missing the presence of the towers. If they felt connected to them the way some of us did, acting like a kind of guardian, making sure you never felt lost in the swirl of New York City life.

“Ghost Bridge”
George Washington Bridge. Washington Heights, NYC.

I was driving down the Henry Hudson when I saw how the fog had hidden much of the bridge. I pulled over and grabbed the photo to capture the quickly moving fog.
#photography #nyc #bridges #landscapephotography #sonya7r4

A black and white photography of the George Washington bridge, located in Upper Manhattan, crossing over the Hudson River into New Jersey. The bridge is mostly covered in fog, but enough of the bridge is visible and easily recognizable. The fog was moving quickly across the river.

Taken this AM with Sony A7r4 and an old Nippon legacy lens.
Anybody else use Legacy lenses on the Sony A7r4? I don't like the manual focus as much as on all of the other 7r series cameras... maybe I'm doing something wrong.
