The first ever Sea of Thieves Sail Design Competition is here! Sketch and share your dream set of sheets, share them with #SoTSailDesignComp before October 23rd, and you could see them in-game as part of our ninth anniversary celebrations. More details: aka.ms/sotsaildesig...
A pirate with a paintbrush and parchment stands in front of a ship with plain sails. Text reads: "Share your set of Galleon Sails by October 23rd using #SoTSailDesignComp to enter!"

The "Unknown Visitor Sails!"

This is based off of old historical reports of UFO sightings out on the open waters back in the 1600s-1700s from sailors all around the world and wanted to have that be part of SOT!

Saw a sail design contest for Sea of Thieves!! This game is extremely important to me, friendships have been formed and either strengthened or lost since the start. I wanted my sails to represent that, "Until our bond is broken, we shall sail together".

Pond Dweller Sails 🪸🧡

#SoTSailDesignComp #SeaOfThieves @seaofthieves.com
A heavily edited Sea of Thieves screenshot. It shows my large pirate on the left atop a rock, in the foreground, he's painting onto a piece of paper. Behind him in the middle of the scene sits a large galleon ship, with sails patterned after the scales of orange-black koi fish, with two koi fish in the middle circling each other. Text on the screen to the right reads "Pond Dweller Sails", and text on the left reads "Created By Taaamas", "Sail Design Competition".

Blissful Backdrop Sails 🖼️⛅

Gotta start posting some of the designs I did earlier in the week, this being the first one 😄

A heavily edited Sea of Thieves screenshot. It shows my large pirate on the left atop a rock, in the foreground, he's painting onto a piece of paper. Behind him in the middle of the scene sits a large galleon ship, personally painted with a scene of a bright blue cloud-filled sky, and rolling green hills below. Text on the screen to the right reads "Blissful Backdrop Sails", and text on the left reads "Created By Taaamas", "Sail Design Competition".

A heavily edited Sea of Thieves screenshot. It shows my large pirate on the left atop a rock, in the foreground, he's painting onto a piece of paper. Behind him in the middle of the scene sits a large galleon ship, with demin-blue sails patterned to look like a set of blueprints for a ship's wheel, with white borders and white accenting on the top, and loads of scribbled measurements. Text on the screen to the right reads "Battered Blueprint Sails", and text on the left reads "Created By Taaamas", "Sail Design Competition".

A heavily edited Sea of Thieves screenshot. It shows my large pirate on the left atop a rock, in the foreground, he's painting onto a piece of paper. Behind him in the middle of the scene sits a large galleon ship, with sails patterned after the texture of baked bread The upper scales have slashed bread-scoring, the middle has a wreath of wheat surrounding a star, all in beige bready colours. Text on the screen to the right reads "Baker's Dozen Sails", and text on the left reads "Created By Taaamas", "Sail Design Competition".

Of course my dream sails would include Junior and since he has no sails of his own in game, well...

I wanted to keep these simple and make a sort of Reaper's Bones version of the traditional skull & crossbones.

For all Eternity ❤️‍🔥

Mutinous Mel's entry for Sea of Thieves' Sail Design Competition. Sails designed around an unmasked Servant of the Flame and traditional Reaper's Bones iconography.
