A quirk of C64 CP/M is that it defers I/O to the standard C64 kernal rom and 6502. Therefore if you have a floppy speeder that replaces the kernal rom it will speed up CP/M also. I have tried JiffyDOS, DolphinDOS and SpeedDOS (although not extensively).

PET 2001 progress update: I played around with the disk image utility, so there will be things like a BAM view, and a tool to compose D64 images. Now, I've just to connect those things (e.g., come up with a disk wizard). Also, I've still to implement the command/error channel (#15) for the FDD.

Klarsichthülle, Layout beider Seiten gemacht, Platine rein und das Ganze zwischen zwei Glasplatten eingeklemmt. Belichtung mit Mutters Höhensonne, passte auch immer. Mit Speeddos für den C64 fing alles irgendwie an. Da hab ich auch erste EPROMs gebrannt...

The disk image inspector supports disk images from the following drives:
35 tracks (D64): (2031,) 2032, 4040, 1540, 1541, 1551,
77 tracks (D80): 8050
154 tracks, double-sided (D82): 8250 (as well as SFD-1001 and 8250LP)
Also supported are 40-track extensions by Dolphin-DOS, SpeedDOS, or PrologicDOS.
