yeah maybe not ideal for Oppenheim that he had his first non-doc movie come out right before so people would be less likely to have his style in mind before YCSE. Only saw Spermworld before YCSE but they're pretty clearly by the same guy in terms of style and vibe.

Continuing on with Lance Oppenheim documentaries with the one that's on Hulu, Spermworld, which I don't think has anything to do with whatever that Cumtown podcast was about.

If 'You Can See Everything' was your first Lance Oppenheim joint, I recommend watching Some Kind of Heaven, Spermworld, Ren Faire, and Primetime right now. (here are two interviews with him) www.patreon.com/frotcast/pos... www.patreon.com/frotcast/pos...

Before even finding out about the thing where he dropped off a bunch of zyns to a zyn addicted RPat or messaged Nathan Fielder because he saw he only finished 60% of his debut doc, the fact that NYT was one of the production companies for Spermworld and was also featured in his new doc is wild to me

You Can See Everything…phew. A documentary (but actually a meta psychological thriller) that had me gripped for 3 hours. Looked up co-director Lance Oppenheim’s work afterwards and Ren Faire + Spermworld are now on the watchlist

second this, and also recommend his uncomfortable but compassionate documentary “Spermworld”
If you are just discovering Lance Oppenheim’s work, might I recommend SOME KIND OF HEAVEN, his remarkable, uncomfortable documentary about residents of The Villages, FL, which he somehow made as a very young director

Choose concessions wisely 😅🍫 Filmmaker Lance Oppenheim (PRIMETIME, REN FAIRE, SPERMWORLD) talks about an edible experience gone wrong + shares more moviegoing memories on this week’s episode of the AC Podcast!

Am I exceptionally undersexed or am I scraping the absolute bottom of the barrel for documentaries to watch? Unfortunately, yes.

have finally watched my first Oppenheim—started with Spermworld. Great movie, instantly on board
still haven't gone Oppenheim crazy but it's sure as hell gonna happen very soon!!!
I am about to get so fucking obsessed with a doc director who pointedly as a formal gesture toes the line between reality and unreality making his feature debut with a film about To Catch a Predator. Almost went on a Lance Oppenheim dive a couple years ago but it is really gonna happen now

Primetime Review:

I've seen people online say this movie goes easy on pedophiles, and I think they have it backwards. Primetime is doing two things, and neither of them is excusing anyone. ⭐⭐⭐ 1/2

A ★★★½ review of Primetime (2026)
Robert Pattinson's 2026 has been one long argument that he's the best creep in Hollywood Lance Oppenheim has made a career out of filming people who live inside a fantasy they built for themselves, from the retirees of The Villages in Some Kind of Heaven to the donors of Spermworld. Primetime is his first narrative feature, and it arrives the same month as You Can See Everything, his Elizabeth Holmes documentary with Nathan Fielder. Together they make a strange little double feature about hapless, power-hungry people who want money and influence and will lie to anyone standing between them and

Was reviewing Lance Oppenheim's filmography and was intrigued by his documentary SPERMWORLD until I saw it's based on an article by Nellie Bowles of Bari Weiss fame... should I see it anyway?

Nathan Fielder's Theranos doc might be 2026's best film, but it's really co-director Lance Oppenheim (SPERMWORLD, Some Kind of Heaven) that push my hype over the edge. His track record of finding humanity in bizarre subjects is unmatched.

Watched Spermworld last night. I cannot stop thinking about the donor who watched Mulholland Dr. with their recipient.

First I’ve heard of Spermworld that sounds wild
