"Statio Bene Fide Carinis" or, "Safe Harbour For Ships" is our motto because Cork Harbour is a sheltered cove. When big storms are coming, we get many ships coming in to drop anchor close to the Spitbank Lighthouse just off Cobh's west side.

We visited #Spitbank fort years ago (90s?).
IIRC, it had just been bought buy a guy with grand plans to do it up, and he was opening it to the public to raise a bit of cash.
It seems that it is now abandoned.

Ended up going with the considerably more consensual Pendulum at Spitbank Fort set but if they’ve still got god-knows-what blaring afterwards the next thing’s gonna have screaming
