Ok, so this is brutal, but in a similar vein. At school, in the SEND area they put up some pictures the kids made with sponges. The caption read 'spong paintings'. Even as a rebellious teen I did the right thing and reported it because that was the most unfortunate typo I ever saw.

Mom had in the kitchen drawer a mincer made by Spong & Co and she'd clamp it to the counter so, as she turned the handle, every scrap of meat leftover from Sunday's joint would be ground up for shepherds pie or spaghetti bolognese on Monday night.
