The council approved several zoning petitions Dec. 16, 2025, including a cannabis-related conditional use and package-liquor permissions with stipulations such as an 8-foot opaque fence and limits on sales hours or footprint; at least one vote recorded a 9-0 tally.

Zoning Coordinator Tim Bray reported multiple active enforcement matters: a wetlands-fill restoration plan for a Brook Road property due in Aug. 2026; court action and lien for an ADU violation; NHDES review of a Shoreland Water Quality complaint after a July 2 inspection; and a commercial operation preparing a Special Exception to come into compliance.

Council approved several zoning petitions and appointments, authorized a STAR bond feasibility study ($75,000) and passed a $752,000 subrecipient agreement for a co‑responder program; consent agenda and treasurer's report were approved.

At the Feb. 17 meeting the Springfield City Council approved several zoning variances and reclassifications, annexations, appointments and emergency ordinances including a $150,000 tourism grant and a $209,000 lead‑removal contract for the police academy; many votes were unanimous.
