steeplechasing should 100% be banned btw. that should be an absolute no brainer for anyone at this point.

Steeplechasing — so named because the church steeple was the visual marker when running across the village and leaping fences

Silly me thought it had, already, been ended. Maybe, depends where, but location should not matter. Steeplechasing does not need a fox.

Thanks so much Ed you steeplechasing Caoimhe. That’s very kind. Mind yourself ❤️

IRL Palmer tried Steeplechasing, but wasn’t very good at it. Guess Uma Sasuke is their equivalent of Steeplechasing, which if Oju Chosan were to ever show up or get referenced, would probably be a star at.

Steeplechasing during the off-season too?? She really never stopped, huh. That kind of dedication is rare. Sounds like an incredible woman sending love, hope the memories bring some comfort 🐎💛

I just finished this tonight, including that new chapter.
I can see why the booksellers at my local Waterstones raved about Steeple Chasing.
I've decided I love the way Peter writes, his passion leaps off the pages.
A wonderful book & yay for some Norfolk churches! 🥰

Apologies for crashing the thread, but seeing you here reminded me that ‘Tomb with a View’ and ‘Steeplechasing’ were two of my absolute favourite reads last year, the way you balance history/architecture/the present human dimension is beautiful.

More from @PeterRoss #SteepleChasing but there I disagree. We respond to churches and their contents the same way their designers and builders did.

In windy conditions, first steeplechase of the season, Cara Feain-Ryan runs solo, 9 seconds faster than last year, a meet record & only 5 seconds off her PB, finishing in 9:33.61

Probably one of the performances of the meet for me & great start to her steeplechasing season

A lovely piece which inspired @thebloggess.bsky.social to commission the cover of Broken. (I can not commission but I do have a wonderful Rayyan print of mice steeplechasing on turtles with a tiny sketch in the margin.)
