St. Joseph Medical Center (SJMC) is a general acute care hospital in #Houston, Texas owned by #StewardHealthCare. Established in June 1887, SJMC is recognized as the first hospital in Houston. A new hospital was constructed in 1894, but was destroyed by fire soon thereafter.
