At some point, using dog whistles and hints wasnt gonna cut it anymore; the right got emboldened enough to just say their nasty, vindictive stuff in the open, and now Trump has just given them all permission and SA stormtroops to give them the sadism TV of their dark dreams.
I appreciate a lot of us will think "they've always been like this" but the utter moral decay on the right in the last few years has been notable.

People with disability have always been the first target of Nazis. Disability reflects that human physical weakness that fascists reject, with their cult of physical prowess and youth. It's not by chance that Trump attacks people for their look, and Musk's stormtroops are little more than teenagers.
This is probably not a surprise to people in the disability community, and I apologize for my ignorance about it, but I have been genuinely surprised how much immediate government wrath is going towards people in the disability community
