anyway i'm pretty excited about my new book, i think it's gonna be real good and i'm gonna have fun drawing it. pitching isn't fun (too stressful 😣) but this phase of storywriting definitely is haha

Ok look, I hype up games but when a game gets nominated for a Nebula Award, a Hugo Award, and a Peabody Award, like that right there tells you have amazing, stellar storywriting in that game.

on one hand: they need to stop killing named characters; we have so few people still alive that it negatively affects storywriting possibilities
on the other hand: samus sliding up to a cliff and watching sylux fall to his death and vi-o-la saying “damn he aint gonna be in prime 5” would be funny

Just finished Schitt’s Creek. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen. The chemistry between the characters is beautiful and the storywriting is extraordinary - an absolute joy.

It took me like 100 years to figure out the trick to storywriting is to acknowledge those tiny little core memories we all have, because they are the most extremely true things, and just go with those. A million inside jokes and self-indulgences.

I’ve realized lately that the other passion I’ve always had other than art was storywriting after realizing that no not everyone put so much emphasis on oc story or watch movie/play games for the storywriting but it makes me wanna go back to writing (for fun) too…

Sometimes, growing up is changing the entirety of your OCs lore to something completely different and enjoying the process of rewriting a new story with that OC again c:

My advice: If you find that you have a complicated story with too many subjects & plot paths going elsewhere, don't be afraid to cut off the extras and focus on the central plot that stands out to you. It really worked for my storywriting. #oc #storywriting
